Webinar “Codice contro la disinformazione”

Prof. Avv. Oreste Pollicino will speak at the event dedicated to the presentation of the “Code against disinformation” organized by the Associazione Stampa Romana. The Professor, who coordinated the writing of the code and the negotiations with the signatories, will debate with Arturo Di Cortinto, columnist for Repubblica and Il Manifesto, lecturer at the Sapienza University of Rome, Prof. Michela Manetti, lecturer at the University of Rome 3, Giuseppe Mennella, secretary of Ossigeno per l’informazione, Maurizio Molinari, editor of Repubblica, Lazzaro Pappagallo, secretary of Stampa Romana, and Arcangelo Iannace, head of external relations at Fieg. The event will be streamed live on Stampa Romana’s Facebook and YouTube channels.


55th UNCITRAL Working Session

DigitalMediaLaws announces that the 55th session of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), in which Prof. Avv. Giusella Finocchiaro will take part, is currently underway in New York. In fact, the focus of the working session will be the draft of the “Model Law on the Use and Cross-border Recognition of Identity Management and Trust Services,” the model law that will allow in a cross-border context the use and recognition of digital identities and trust services internationally. The law was drafted by the Working Group IV - Electronic Commerce, under the leadership of the Professor as the Chairwoman of the group.


Workshop “Fairness in Artificial Intelligence”

Prof. Avv. Oreste Pollicino will participate in the Workshop "Fairness in Artificial Intelligence," organized by Prof. Luca Trevisan of Bocconi University. The professor will open the day’s session and deliver a presentation entitled “Algorithmic bias and legal perspectives. The constellation of rights taken seriously” in which he will examine the main challenges and reactions of the legal world to automated decisions and their biases.


Workshop “Artificial Intelligence applicata ai processi amministrativo-contabili”

Alessandro Candini will be the speaker of the Workshop "Artificial Intelligence applicata ai processi amministrativo-contabili”, organized by the Observatory Digital B2b, one of the Observatories on Digital Innovation of the Politecnico di Milano’s School of Management. Avv. Candini will illustrate the possible uses of AI in administrative and accounting processes, delving into critical issues as the liability regime for AI, AI and data protection, the case law and the proposal for a European Regulation on AI, the AI Act.

Conference “The New Atlas of Digital Art”

23-25 June 2022

Prof. Avv. Giusella Finocchiaro will intervene in the initiative “The New Atlas of Digital Art” organized by the MEET Center, in collaboration with the National Museum of Digital Art (MAD) recently established by the Ministry of Culture, and to be held on June 23, 24 and 25 in Milan, Viale Vittorio Veneto.
The very rich program involves participants on three thematic tables that will address key issues, such as the relationship between art, science and technology, the digital art market experimenting with NFT and Blockchain new cultural and economic models.
The Professor will join a thematic panel entitled “New cultural and economic models in art - NFT and digital art market”, which will be coordinated by Ilaria Bonacossa, art historian and Director of the Museum of Digital Art.
