Course “DPO- Data Protection Officer” – Prof. Pollicino

DigitalMediaLaws is pleased to announce that registration period is now open for the course ‘DPO - Data Protection Officer’ of which Prof. Avv. Oreste Pollicino is director, together with Prof. Paola Cillo.
The course takes place over three days and is organised within the School of Management (SDA) Bocconi. It is dedicated to professionals with at least ten years of experience from the legal area, the world of data protection consulting and cybersecurity.
The program is open to those who wish to deepen their understanding of the role that the legislation entrusts to this figure within the companies in which they operate.

Prof. Avv. Giusella Finocchiaro will take part in the Data Protection Officer (DPO) Course organised by SDA, School of Management, Bocconi University. The Professor will give a speech entitled "The legal bases. Valuing data without incurring violations: marketing and other" in which she will focus on the main aspects concerning data processing in the new panorama of data valorisation and sharing, with particular reference to the legal bases and their use.


Round Table – FSE 2.0 e Gestione e valorizzazione del dato di salute

Prof. Giusella Finocchiaro will join the Round Table organised as part of the “Training and Learning Course for Public Management and ICT Innovation Management” by ASSINTER Academy and under the scientific responsibility of the University of Bologna. The Professor will contribute to the discussion on the topic “Data driven, digital twin and predictive models for services and citizen care”, and she will be joined by Eng. Lorenzo Gubian, Assinter Vice President and DG Aria, Dr. Andrea Quacivi, CEO of Sogei, and Prof. Eng. Francesco Ubertini, Magnificent Rector of the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna and President of CINECA. The moderation is instead entrusted to Eng. Oreste Pollicino will participate in the Conference entitled “The Individual and the Digital Reality: a Constitutional and Democratic Issue beyond Virtuality”, organised by the University of Brescia, with the contribution of Banca Valsabbina and Fondazione ASM. The Professor will give a speech on “Metaphors and the Protection of Fundamental Rights in the Digital Age” during the panel on “The Person in the Process of Technological Transformation”, moderated by Prof. Michela Manetti, University of Siena, which will also be joined by Prof. Licia Califano, University of Urbino, and Prof. Carlo Colapietro, University of Roma Tre.


VII SIRD Conference

Prof. Giusella Finocchiaro will join the 7th Conference organised by the Italian Society for Research in Comparative Law (SIRD) entitled “Who resists globalisation?”, this year dedicated to the memory of Prof. Rodolfo Sacco. The Professor will chair the first panel of the second Conference day devoted to “Digital Sovereignty”, in which dott. Paolo Guarda, Trento University, dott.ssa Giulia Terranova, Milan State University, Prof. Biagio Andò, Catania University, dott.ssa Cinzia Valente, Modena and Reggio Emilia University, Prof. Emeritus Roberto Pardolesi, LUISS University, Prof. Massimiliano Granieri, Brescia University, dott. Francesco Alongi, Bologna University, and dott. Enrico Toti, Roma Tre University, will intervene.


Protezione dei diritti fondamentali e Internet – Webinar

Prof. Avv. Oreste Pollcino will join the Webinar “Protection of Fundamental Rights and the Internet” organised by the Internet Festival 2022. During the event, hosted by Dr. Massimo Sideri, journalist at Corriere della Sera, the Professor’s volume, “Judicial Protection of Fundamental Rights on the Internet: A Road Towards Digital Constitutionalism?”, published by Hart, will be presented. There will be a discussion on the relationship between new technologies and the protection of fundamental rights, with a focus on judicial dialogue.
